My name is Weaver, and I am a spectacle artist. In process and content, the theater I make is community based, ritualistic, rooted in Yiddish folklore, and striving for means of resistance through research-based artistic practice and queer potentiality.
I am a director, playwright, singer, short story writer, translator, Yiddish dance leader and storyteller based in Northampton MA. I play the banjo, act, and organize radical Jewish community puppet parades based around holidays which facilitate youth leadership, cultural literacy and community building. I co-founded Theater Between Addresses, an all-queer theater collective which produces new work and has frequent workshops supporting new play development. I work with the public by using folk-theater forms, puppets, and spectacle to bring people of all ages and experiences into creative process. I love all things larger-than-life, archetypal, mythical, and magical. Feel free to explore my work through the pages on this website.
